harmony attracts harmony

I began my counseling career in 1997 working for a community behavioral health provider in the Arizona Verde Valley serving adults with serious mental illnesses. Throughout my 16 years with that organization I developed skills to empower individuals to move forward in their recovery from depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief, trauma, relationship and vocational challenges.

In addition to my ongoing Private Practice, I worked 7 years for a non-profit consumer service agency initially as the Director of Integrated Wellness and then as the Clinical Director.  In those capacities, I worked with adults, weaving a holistic “mind, body, spirit” approach to wellness, respecting the relationship and impact between the mental, physical, and spiritual bodies of which we are comprised. In addition to Therapist and Wellness Coach, I am a Mental Health First Aid instructor and Chair the Northern Arizona Peer and Family Coalition.

My approach to counseling is Person-Centered, embracing Carl Rogers belief that human development is grounded in the actualizing tendency. I provide a climate of genuineness, empathy and positive regard to help you build personal power, self-acceptance, self-awareness, and self-trust. Your privacy and confidentiality is sacred and honored, compliant with federal and state regulations.

Behavioral health issues are common. One in five adults experience a mental health issue in a given year in the United States. If you are the 1 in 5, let me help you gain the tools and support to put emotional pain and challenges behind you.
